Rescuing a Bearded Dragon (Bumble’s Story)

I hate to say this but there was a time when I had literally no interest in adopting a bearded dragon. This was pre Moonlit Jungle and pre rescue time… the before time. But when I came across an ad for an obviously in need bearded dragon, I knew I had to step in.

The problem was that I really didn’t want to get a bearded dragon- so I shared with a community of reptile lovers. But as time went on, I discovered I couldn’t stop thinking about this precious little creature.

Next thing you know, I’ve packed my husband and kids up to travel over an hour away to pay to save a dragon. The intention was to rehab and rehome her… but once I learned what was going on with this lady, I knew she was going to stay here forever.

This is the story of how I saved a dragon and how she taught me a valuable lesson about never saying never.
